During an appearance on one of Chicago’s top radio programs, I called into the show and shared my current custody struggle with Jeffery Leving. Subsequently, Jeffery Leving chose to handle his case on a pro-bono basis. At the time, I was in the midst of a divorce with my wife and was worried I would not be able to ever see my children again. Thanks to Jeffery Leving, I was granted sole custody of my children and even receive child support from my wife. This would not have been possible without the legal expertise of Jeffery Leving.

I came to Jeffrey Leving seeking sole custody of my 12 year-old daughter out of concern for her well-being. In the 7 years my daughter lived with her mother since the divorce, she moved to 8 or 9 schools, and had encounters with several live-in abusive boyfriends. My daughter was also subjected to extended periods of time spent away from her mother. Initially, Jeffery Leving secured temporary custody for me, but the mother refused to comply. During a visitation, she took my daughter and kept her for several months. Finally, she agreed to return the child and Jeffery Leving was able to secure sole custody of my daughter, with no current visitation rights for the mother.

I was facing unsubstantiated allegations of sexual abuse from the mother of my child and her unwillingness to comply with established custody times. I sought Jeffery Leving’s legal expertise since I was facing dire circumstances. Today, Jeffery Leving is attempting to gain residential custody for me.

I came home from work one day and learned that my wife had taken our three children, their belongings and moved in with her parents. I contacted Jeffery Leving after not being able to see my children for one month, including my new baby who was still breastfeeding. Thanks to Jeffery Leving, I now visits my child on a regular schedule and am in the process of attempting to gain even more time with my children.

I was dating the mother of my children for four years and she became pregnant before I left for the Armed Forces. While in training, I discovered that she was dating someone else. As a result of this pain, I was discharged from the Army and returned home hoping to see my daughter. After some time, I reconnected with the mother of my child and inadvertently signed guardian consent papers without full knowledge of their impact. The mother of my child subsequently enlisted in the Army and gave her parents full guardianship of the child. After her parents refused to allow me to visit my daughter, I hired Jeffery Leving to help me with this situation. Today, we both share custody of the child and I will be entitled to receive full custody of the child if the mother re-enlists in the Army.

I was a veteran of Iraq, and after returning was stationed in Colorado. While living there, I met a woman and soon she was with child.  We both moved to my hometown of Skokie, Illinois and had a son.  Afterwards, the mother alleged that I was suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and that I was not fit to see my son. I began to receive treatment for PTSD, and during this time I also hired Jeffrey Leving to help me see my child. In addition, I filed a petition that my son and I were both the victims of physical abuse from the mother of my child. The mother attempted to remove the child from Illinois, but Mr. Leving filed an order that barred her from leaving the state.  I am now able to spend regular time with my son.
